Hi! Thanks for checking out this page! Here you'll find my thoughts and ideas about worship.

Did you ever stop to think about what God is like? What does He look like? What are his moods and personality like? We can deduct from scripture that God is big, very big. He can be here with me and there with you at the same time. He can be in our past, present and future all at once too. Time and space have no effect on Him. One day is as a thousand years with God and a thousand years as one day. Pretty mind boggling, huh?

Then there is the power thing, God is all powerful. There is nothing he can not do, He is not stumped by any problem nor is he hindered by and force on earth or in heaven. He posesses the power to move mountains with a single thought, in fact he creates with his words. He spoke the earth into existence. He imagined the sun and moon and stars then with the breath of his mouth he caused them to come to be.

I was thinking about all this as I drove to work this morning and then the thought hit me... this God, the one I just described, chose to squeeze himself into a human body. Not just any human body, I mean he could have picked a beautiful, strong, powerful (in human standards) deluxe human body, but he chose to come as a helpless baby ( this is God) to be born in the normal human way, to grow up like any one of us, to experience all the limitations we experience daily.

Now remember that God is all powerful, all knowing, and all present. He chose to lay all those powers aside in order to become one of us and die for us so that we could live with him for eternity! Is that not awesome???

I'm not sure that I have not effectively communicated the wonder and awe that I felt as I began to think about this, but if you can even grasp a little of what I am saying it should inspire worship within you spirit! I cannot help but worship a being so great and awesome, yet willing to humble himself and deny himself his own power and abilities for my sake. Oh how he loves us!! Can we not worship and serve him in return?

Untill then:

Jeannie
